Life's different when your a Dad.

Tonight I actually have no plans. Which is rare for me. Their just always seems to be something going on. Well tonight there was NADA. So I thought I would call a couple people and see if I could find something to do. I didn't work out. So I decided to mow the lawn and just hang out with Jacob. Well we got into a gun fight. I think he ended up winning. That leads me to the title. The difference is I am more than happy to play guns with a two year old than to have "plans". Here are the pics of the battle.

Thanks Al for the late night delivery. What a great way to finish off a Wednesday Evening.

My best lettuce yet. This year looks like a bumper crop of romaine lettuce. Makes me happy. Who says you can't grow good crops in the Iron Range.

Grey Trout Lake

This past week I spent three days on Grey Trout Lake in Ontario, Canada. A friend of mine, Matt Hagsten invited my to go to his families cabin. It is in the middle of no where. It was a great trip. Matt, Tony, Jason and I piled into my dodge dakota and made the four hour trip to the cabin.

Once we got up there we unloaded about a thousand pounds of food. Mostly consisting of pop and chips. We then walked through the largest cloud of mosquito's to the boat. As fast as possible we got our stuff into the boat and shoved off to make our way to the cabin.

Here is a picture of a small bay to the left of the Hagsten Retreat Center.

We did some fishing, cliff jumping, a lot of game playing and a little sleeping. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
